11:24am: Damn...
So I never update this thing at all. Good reasons too, though Cinder Inc doesn't get shit for updates either....

Oh well... Hi. I'm still here...

8:15am: My New Site
Since I'm not so good at keeping this up, I've gone and done this:

Created a blog. So that's where I'm at for now. And probably for the near future. Stop by. Say hi.

2nd April 2003

10:35am: Still on the job warpath, but it doesn't seem as bleak as it did a while ago, so i'm happy for that fact. Going out today and peddling my resume around at more places, showing them my shiney happy face.

Been listening to Hella here, which is a damn damn good band from Sacramento, CA I belive, but totaly different than most indie rock shit you'll hear. No singing, just a guy on drums and a guy on guitar doing experimental crazy stuff. Think Primus but with a guitar and no wacky vocals and much more out there. Makes for good late night music to clear out the coffee shop i work at when the students are lingering and all i want to do is go home.

Managed to pick up an advanced readers copy of Paul Auster's new book, and am damn pleased by it so far. Feels more alive and well done than his last book, Timbucktu, but very well thought out and told so far.

Yup.

2:25pm: FEFEA
Wow, take off for a weekend with the fact that fefea and The Sardius Experience do not have a home and that my message board fix will go unanswered for an untold number of days, and then boom there we go people responded and we have a [info]fefea livejournal community, the board back in place here and now I can even post here more, just cuz i'm off my sorry butt.

It's good to have it back.

Someday (like a prophet i say this) JAPAN will return and it shall be nice. Right.

8:56pm: She's Back!!!
So my fiance took off on me for two weeks to Florence, Italy and now she's due back tomorrow night and i'm finaly going to see her agin. Yea i know it's sappy and cute and what have you but i've truly missed her and am glad that she's back now in my life.

Just watched the first two episodes of the Neverwhere miniseries and so far it's pretty good... the Mr. Vandamar and Mr. Croop do a great job.

Also just finished A storm of Swords by George R. R. Martin. Damn good book. Best fantasy novel I've read in years. Fresh, realistic motivations and the will to kill off anyone he damn well pleases, even if you did like them for a bit. Its good.

8:50pm: VCD's
Decided to make VCD's of some of the videos and tv episodes i've been getting.

The new TMNT cartoon is good. Some may not like it, and yea sure i miss Krang too, but damn they are a little tougher and less stupid, and the art is a bit nicer, and they have been doing a good job of only revealing a little each episode. So that ain't bad.

Also decided to see if i could get the Neil Gaiman Neverwhere BBC mini-series that was done, and lo and behold thanks to eDonkey and the endless waits to get it, i have it and can now watch it. Not that i've heard great things about it, but still when a book you've enjoyed (especially one by Gaiman) has been adapted you want to see it and so it gets burned. The first episode isn't too bad, but reminds me of those old eighties PBS movies in terms of production... but then now that i think of it, 90% of those most of the time were British anyways so it's a British TV production quality. Yea.
7:25pm: My actuall writing in this thing.
So yea, I havn't written in here really at all. Sorry. It's not like I didn't have the time or anything, its just that i haven't. Been thinking about how things are and the world and such. Nothing really spectacular but thats life.

Didn't get that job I posted about a bit back (went to the guy with "experience" or something) but am still on the job warpath.

Dunno what the deal was but for months my CDR drive has been screwy and pretty much a lame piece of machinery. Wouldn't recognize the fact that there was a blank CDR in the drive, or tell me it needed a CDR/RW disk to burn and all i had in there was a CDR. Right... whatever.... So i install the latest NERO and lo and behold the thing works beautifuly now and burning CD's and ISO's has never been easier... i can clean up the harddrive once more.

Which reminds me... Sardius, I found a Lupin III PSX game ISO that i still have to try out, but i'll let you know if it lives up to the Lupin name. Which i wouldn't even know about except for the CGE story/novella.

Anyways.

2:23pm: I hate looking for a job. Yes, I've got one right now, whoopee, but dammit i hate it and i just want it to end. You see it's like this. I've interviewed with this guy a few times, went well, he sounded enthusiastic about hiring me, but mentioned that he had to do a few other interviews in the meantime before he could give me an answer. This was two weeks ago. I've been calling faithfully for two weeks every couple of days and still no definative answer. Yes, I want the job, but if you arn't going to give it to me then tell me and let me go look elsewhere with a little more gusto. It's not like i've stopped looking but still I just want to know an answer so i can get on with my life whatever way it goes.
